round headed rampion (Phyteuma orbiculare) - thanks Sarah ! |
Hi Pete, great photos. After spending so much time helping my friend with his dissertation on Old Winchester Hill, I recognised the last image above as Round-headed rampion - the theme of his dissertation. Must make a note to visit the hill for sketching next year. Hope you are enjoying the sunshine down there !
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the botanical correction .. my flora ID can be a bit hiss and miss at times ! The weekend sunshine has been more than welcome here.
Enjoy the rest of your Edinburgh stay .. I look forward to seeing more of your artwork from the course.
Regards
Peter
