from top to bottom: strawberry sea anemone (Actinia fragacea); snakelock sea anemone (Anemonia viridis); sea slug / sea hare (Aplysia punctata); bi-valve type fossil; star arcadian (Botryllus schlosseri); coral type fossil; gastropod type fossil; flat periwinkle (Littorina obtusata); cushion starfish (Asterina gibbosa); honeycomb worm (Sabellaria alveolata) on a rock substrate under sand; Stromatoporoid fossil; dog whelk (Nucella lapillus)

Dartmoor Study Tour: Hay Tor and Hay Tor Quarry
From top to bottom: Hay Tor; Hay Tor detail; Megacrystic Granite (Hay Tor); round-leaved sundew (Drosera rotundifolio); Black sedge (Carex nigra); Hay Tor quarry; fine-grained granite cut using "feather and tear" method circa 1800 - 1820; fine-grained granite cut using "wedge and groove" method which died out circa 1800; heath milkwort (Polygala vulgaris); toad (Bufo bufo) spawn; horse leach (Haemopis sanguisuga); Orthoclase fieldspar (Hay Tor quarry).
